Job summary

Sixty Vines in Katy, TX is seeking a barback to assist the bar staff and ensure great guest experiences during smooth shifts. You will stock wells, beer, wine, and cordials, refill mixers, and set up the bar for service.

Responsibilities include batch cocktail prep, safe juicing, and maintaining certifications; you will arrive on time in proper uniform and help maintain a clean, efficient bar area throughout each shift.

Qualifications

• Standing for long periods.
• Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Able to read and follow recipes for juices and batch cocktails.
• Properly use a knife and other kitchen equipment.
• Maintain all necessary certifications.
• We participate in the E-Verify program to verify employment eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Interacting with guests and staff members professionally and positively.
• Assist the bar staff in filling ice wells, as well as stocking wells with the necessary amount of liquor bottles.
• Ensuring beer bottles, wine, and cordials are stocked.
• Refilling and dating mixers, juices, and syrups.
• Cut fruit and other garnishes, and make sure the bar is set up for success.
• Empty bus tubs and prebus the bar top.
• Make batch cocktails according to proper recipes, as well as understand the batch system to ensure proper changing of canisters.
• Arriving for the shift on time and ready to work in proper uniform.
• Use juicing machines in a safe, sanitary manner, while ensuring pars for the bar are met.
• Following directions from management, as well as the bartenders.
• All barbacks should have extensive knowledge of the menu and should be able to answer any guest's questions about food or drinks.
• Obtain and update any required certifications.
• Set up and break down the bar area before and after each shift, while cleaning floors, bar top, and wells.
• Emptying trash cans and washing dishes using the bar machine.
