Job Description

The Barback is responsible for maintaining inventory, transporting, stocking, and cleaning/clearing products. They support bartenders and staff by assisting with opening and closing duties, transporting stock, and aiding in reordering to meet business and guest needs. Responsibilities may vary by location based on client requirements and business needs.

Job Responsibilities

1. Assist with opening and closing duties, such as restocking garnishes, straws, napkins, and ensuring bartenders have clean towels and glassware.
2. Deliver products and use transfer sheets to maintain inventory accuracy.
3. Clean, sanitize, and maintain appearance of workstations and guest service areas.
4. Ensure the bar is stocked with ice, liquor, wine, and beer.
5. Check taps and appliances for proper functioning and change kegs as needed.
6. Keep the bar clean by wiping surfaces, sweeping, mopping, removing soiled glassware, scrubbing coolers and storage areas, and emptying trash.
7. Provide excellent guest service with a positive attitude.
8. Follow safety policies, including proper sanitation and food safety procedures.
9. Secure company assets.

Qualifications

• Previous food service experience preferred.
• Excellent guest service skills and ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical ability to stand, walk constantly, lift, bend, push, and pull as required.
