Job Description

The Barback is responsible for inventory management, transporting, stocking, and cleaning/clearing products. They support bartenders and staff by assisting with opening and closing duties, transporting stock, and aiding in reordering to meet business and guest needs. Responsibilities may vary by location based on client requirements and business needs.

Job Responsibilities

1. Assist with opening and closing duties, including restocking garnishes, straws, napkins, and ensuring bartenders have clean towels and glassware.
2. Deliver products and maintain inventory using transfer sheets.
3. Clean, sanitize, and maintain workstations and guest service areas.
4. Ensure the bar is stocked with ice, liquor, wine, and beer.
5. Check taps and appliances, ensure proper functioning, and change kegs as needed.
6. Maintain cleanliness by wiping surfaces, sweeping, mopping, removing soiled glassware, scrubbing coolers and storage areas, and emptying trash.
7. Provide excellent guest service with a positive demeanor.
8. Follow safety policies and procedures, including food safety and sanitation.
9. Ensure the security of company assets.
