Hawksmoor Restaurants in Boston is opening its third US location and is seeking experienced Bar Backs to join the team. You will help us deliver Hawksmoor’s high-standards drinks program, support bartenders, and ensure a warm, efficient service for every guest.

As a Bar Back, you will prep ingredients, stock stations, maintain clean bar areas, and collaborate with the team to uphold safety and hospitality values in a fast-paced environment.

At 15 Necco Street (Platinum LEED-certified – a natural fit for our commitment to sustainability and our B-Corp values), we'll have space for 200+ guests, private dining and event spaces, a bar program recognized by the James Beard Foundation and Tales of the Cocktail, sweeping views across Fort Point Channel, and an outdoor terrace made for long lunches and celebratory dinners.

We're looking for experienced Bar Backs to join our team and help us open our third US restaurant.

As a HawksmoorBarBack, youplay a key role in the smooth and successful operation of the bar.Youare responsible forsupporting the bar team toconsistentlydeliverHawksmoor’s servicestandardsandensure every guest enjoys an exceptionalexperience. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

GuestExperience

• Confidently juice and prep ingredients to par levels, ensuring the bar is fully equipped for service.
• Follow recipespecifications preciselyto ensure consistency and quality across all drinks.
• Maintain glassware, bar stations, and prep areas before, during, and after service to support the barteam isdelivering a seamless guest experience.
• Keep the back bar and bar top clean, organized, and visually appealing throughout service.

• Compilenon-consumableorders for management asrequired.
• Actively work to reduce waste and improve efficiency behind the bar.
• Comply withlateness and absence policies.

Physical and Mental Demands

• Mobility:Must be able to move continuously around the dining room, kitchen, and bar areas during the shift.
• Lifting & Carrying:Occasionally lifts and carries trays, plates, and items weighing up to ~ 25 to 30 lbs.
• Communication:Ability toclearly and effectively communicate with guests, kitchen staff, and management.
• Cognitive:Ability to process guest requests, manage multiple tables simultaneously, and prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Work Environment:While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly exposed to moderate to loud noise levels consistent with a high-volume restaurant. The pace is fast and requires multi-tasking under pressure.
