Job Description
What You Will Accomplish

Position Summary: Provides exceptional food service to property guests during events, special events, and other catered functions, as well as any other property-hosted events as scheduled.

Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
  1. Serve customers efficiently and courteously at assigned stations.
  2. Obtain food and beverages from designated locations and serve according to established procedures and techniques.
  3. Maintain glasses filled throughout the meal.
  4. Observe guests to fulfill additional requests and note when meals are finished. Assist other servers to ensure efficient service. Complete side work as directed.
  5. Set dining tables to standards, remove unclean dinnerware and linens, and prepare for service and clean-up.
  6. Familiarize with daily menus and set tables considering event specifics. Clean away service items after events. Clear dishes as guests finish courses.
  7. Prepare coffee service as per Banquet Event Orders.
  8. Follow all food handling, sanitation, TIPS, and health guidelines.
  9. Wear non-slip shoes and adhere to all safety policies. Report safety issues and emergencies promptly. Use PPE as required and maintain knowledge of HAZMAT protocols.
  10. Arrive on schedule and maintain punctuality.
  11. Maintain a neat, clean, and organized environment for guests.
  12. Assist with setting up and breaking down event spaces. Report unsafe conditions or equipment issues.
  13. Ensure minors and intoxicated guests are not served alcohol. Report any disruptive behavior to management.
What You Will Bring
  • Experience in banquet or convention services preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage service standards and guest relations.
  • Positive attitude, professionalism, and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to perform basic math and interpret instructions.
  • Ability to read and understand safety and operational documents.
  • Flexibility to work varying schedules, including holidays and weekends.
  • At least 18 years old, with TIPS certification and a valid Food Handlers Card or ability to obtain one.
  • Knowledge of health standards and laws regarding alcohol service.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
Physical and Environmental Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, reach, grasp, and lift regularly. Visual acuity for safety and quality checks. Work may involve exposure to heat, cold, noise, hazards, and crowded environments.
