POSITION:

Solitude is looking for a committed and easygoing individual passionate about the food industry. The prep cook is an entry-level position reporting to the sous chef and head chef. Responsibilities include assisting in culinary operations of the restaurant kitchen. The dishwashing duties involve maintaining all dishes, silverware, glasses, and kitchen equipment in a clean and sanitized condition. Specific Job Requirements:

• 1-2 years of experience as a dishwasher or prep cook
• Enthusiasm and willingness to work in a fast-paced kitchen
• Knowledge of kitchen and dishwashing equipment, cleaning supplies, and detergents
• Ability to assist with cleaning and food prep
• Ability to work under pressure and take orders in a high-paced environment
• Follow company policies and procedures as outlined in the handbook
• Obtain and maintain necessary licenses/certifications such as Food Handler's Permit

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Participate in kitchen cleaning duties including station teardown, dishwashing, equipment cleaning, sweeping, and mopping
• Assist Kitchen Manager with receiving orders and proper storage
• Maintain excellent communication skills
• Follow directions effectively
• Stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
