Job summary

Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill is seeking an Event Set Up Houseperson for a fast-paced banquet environment. You will set up and break down meeting spaces, including tables, chairs, stage, and dance floor, and ensure spaces are clean and ready for events.

Role requires good communication, stamina to stand/walk long hours, and the ability to lift moderate weight. Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift, push, and pull a moderate amount of weight.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to communicate and work well with a team.
• Ability to read and understand setup diagrams.
• Must be flexible to work any day of the week between 12pm – 3am.

Responsibilities

• Set up and break down all meeting spaces with tables, chairs, stage, dance floor, water, etc., and clean those spaces.
• Maintain clear communication with team and supervisors in a fast-paced environment.
