Job summary

The Hyatt Hotels Corporation in Bethesda, MD is seeking a Banquet Setup Associate to prepare meeting rooms per banquet event orders, transport and arrange tables, chairs, and related items to meet guest expectations. You will maintain clean rooms, respond to guest requests, and assist with other hotel services.

Must be able to stand long shifts, lift up to 50 pounds, and work weekends/holidays. Prior banquet setup or customer service experience preferred; high school diploma preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous banquet set up or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up meeting rooms according to banquet event orders and documents to meet guest expectations.
• Transport heavy equipment (tables, chairs, etc.) safely using proper equipment.
• Break down meeting rooms and return banquet items to storage in an organized fashion.
• Maintain cleaning schedule for meeting rooms and ballrooms to keep them presentable.
• Respond to guest requests for service changes and provide information about hotel services.
