Job summary

Omni Grove Park Inn & Spa in Asheville, NC is seeking a banquet cook to prepare high-quality breakfast and lunch items, maintain kitchen sanitation, and ensure stations are ready for service.

The position starts at $20 per hour with a 2 PM shift; a sign-on bonus of $1,000 is paid across the first 90 days ($250 after 30 days, $250 after 60 days, $500 after 90 days). Candidates should have advanced knife skills and prior culinary experience.

Qualifications

• Advanced knife skills required.
• Prior culinary experience required.
• Knowledge of breakfast and lunch preparation.
• Must be familiar with all cooking techniques.
• Must be familiar with batch and quantity cooking.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen sanitation in accordance with health department guidelines
• Ensure station is set for service 15 minutes prior to service.
• Knowledge of breakfast and lunch preparation
• Required to learn all menu items produced by assigned station.
• Perform work assignments to meet proper quantities within a necessary time frame.
• Prepare a mixture of buffet and plated style items
• Production of orders to include grilling, roasting, and baking fish, steaks, chicken and shellfish.
