Job Description

Supervise servers and bartenders on the floor, ensure food presentation is neat, served on time, and coordinate all functions properly.

Responsibilities
  1. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  2. Control all aspects of banquet functions execution.
  3. Read and understand Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
  4. Supervise and coordinate banquet staff during food and beverage service.
  5. Communicate effectively with culinary and management staff to ensure success.
  6. Adhere to property policies and procedures.
  7. Follow liquor liability laws.
  8. Ensure accurate billing, including Micros and Delphi postings, and liquor consumption reports.
  9. Assist in conducting staff and pre-function meetings.
  10. Utilize computer skills (Outlook, Delphi, Excel).
  11. Attend all property and department meetings.
  12. Assist the Banquet Manager in departmental operations.
  13. HOTEL SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  14. Know general property information and be able to answer guest questions.
  15. Know the layout of the property and all meeting room names and locations.
Tools and Equipment
  • Computer, coffee maker/urn, toaster, beverage machines, bus trays, dishware, silverware, glassware, queen-mary cart, telephone, pen/pencil, Micros.
Working Environment
  • Indoor and outdoor hotel environments, including restaurant, lounge, and kitchen areas, with exposure to temperature extremes.
  • Exposure to cleaning chemicals and food items.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least three years of food and beverage experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Pleasant and helpful personality.
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays.
  • Computer literacy.
  • RAMP certification is required.
