Job summary

The Cobb-Marietta Coliseum and Exhibit Hall Authority is seeking a Stewarding Assistant to handle ware washing, kitchen cleanup, and inventory support. You will report to the Director of Stewarding and Steward Supervisors and assist with food delivery and event setup.

This role emphasizes safety, proper disposal, and professional communication to ensure high-quality service at banquets and conferences. Irregular schedules and teamwork are required.

Qualifications

• Routine cleaning duties and sanitation of service areas.
• Ability to follow supervisor instructions and work as part of a team.
• Reliable and punctual with strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Wash work tables, walls, refrigerators, floors, and other service areas as directed.
• Use wet floor signs to warn of hazards.
• Wipe up spills promptly and report hazards to supervisor.
• Wash glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and other utensils used in food preparation.
• Remove trash and dispose properly.
• Assist in transporting food to banquet sites and prepare equipment.
• Respond to client and staff requests for assistance and maintain professional radio communication.
• Escort guests to locations when possible and ensure high-quality service and teamwork.
• Maintain safe working techniques, PPE use, and report safety issues.
