Job summary

Pyramid Global Hospitality’s Mission Inn Hotel & Spa in Riverside, CA is hiring a Banquet Sous Chef to lead culinary operations for weddings, conferences, and events. The role ensures planning, preparation, and flawless execution of menus with high standards of quality, sanitation, and guest satisfaction.

You will manage a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen, mentor cooks, and collaborate with Catering, Sales, and Banquets teams to deliver memorable guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of progressive culinary experience with supervisory duties.
• Luxury hotel or full-service banquet experience preferred.
• California Food Handler Card current; ServSafe certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing banquet and catered events from intimate to large-scale.
• Review BEOs, schedules, and timelines to ensure accurate execution of menus.
• Supervise banquet kitchen operations: prep, production, plating, presentation.
• Direct culinary team during production and event service; maintain quality standards.
• Assist with menu development, inventory, and cost controls; maintain sanitation and safety.
