Job summary

M Social Sunnyvale is seeking a Banquet Houseman to support meetings, conferences, weddings, and other events. You will handle banquet space setup, breakdown, furniture movement, and equipment organization in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

This role suits someone dependable, physically active, detail-oriented, and team-driven, with experience in banquet or hotel settings. Flexible shifts including evenings and weekends are expected to ensure guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
• Food Handler Card required or ability to obtain upon hire, as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Banquet Setup & Breakdown: Set up banquet rooms according to diagrams and standards; arrange tables, chairs, staging, dance floors, and equipment.
• Event Support: Assist banquet servers and supervisors during events; deliver and remove tables, chairs, equipment, and supplies.
• Cleanliness & Organization: Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet rooms and storage areas; remove trash and debris.
• Guest Experience: Maintain a professional, friendly presence and respond to guest needs.
• Team Collaboration: Work with Banquet, F&B, Culinary, Engineering and other departments; communicate needs and requirements.
• Safety & Compliance: Follow safety policies, lifting techniques, food safety, and proper equipment handling.
