Job summary

Millennium Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Banquet Houseman in Sunnyvale to support the successful execution of meetings, conferences, weddings, and other functions. You will assist with room setups, equipment organization, and maintaining pristine event spaces.

The role requires physical stamina, a team-oriented mindset, and the ability to follow diagrams and instructions in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous banquet, hotel, event, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow setup diagrams and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet rooms according to event diagrams, specifications, and standards.
• Arrange tables, chairs, staging, dance floors, risers, and other event equipment.
• Assist with setting up meeting rooms, reception areas, and event spaces.
• Break down and reset event spaces promptly following functions.
• Move furniture and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure rooms are properly arranged before guests arrive.
• Make adjustments to room setups as directed by banquet management.
• Support banquet servers and supervisors during events.
• Replenish water stations, service areas, and other banquet supplies as needed.
• Assist with buffet and beverage station setup and breakdown.
• Respond promptly to requests from banquet leadership.
• Help ensure event spaces remain clean, organized, and guest-ready throughout the function.
