Job summary

HCW Hospitality in the United States is seeking a Banquet Houseperson to support banquet events by setting up spaces, arranging tables and chairs, and ensuring smooth transitions between functions.

You will maintain storage cleanliness, assist with AV equipment, and liaise with staff to meet guest needs. Prior banquet experience, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and strong teamwork are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in banquet setup or similar role preferred.
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays based on event schedules.
• Strong communication and guest service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet rooms according to event specifications (tables, chairs, linens, decorations).
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas.
• Work with banquet staff to ensure timely setups, breakdowns and resets.
• Assist with moving and arranging audio/visual equipment as needed.
• Respond to guest requests to provide exceptional service.
• Communicate with team and management about event issues or requests.
• Ensure spaces are clean and ready for next event after a function.
• Follow safety procedures when lifting or moving heavy objects.
