Job summary

Avalon PS HM, LLC is seeking a Banquet Houseperson to support event setup, maintenance, and breakdown across banquet spaces. You will work closely with banquet and event teams to ensure furnishings, equipment, and supplies are ready for use, and spaces remain clean and organized before, during, and after events.

The role requires physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and adherence to health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in banquet or event setting preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of basic event setup and breakdown practices preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setting up banquet spaces, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, glassware, and other items as per event orders.
• Ensure equipment and furniture are arranged in a timely manner per client specifications.
• Break down and clean banquet spaces after events and return items to storage.
• Assist with inventory and organization of banquet equipment.
• Deliver and retrieve items from storage areas, including furniture and AV equipment.
• Ensure proper handling and transportation of heavy or delicate items to avoid damage.
