Job summary

The Sanderling Resort in Duck, North Carolina, seeks a Banquet Houseman to support setup, maintenance and breakdown of event spaces, ensuring venues are prepared to EOS Hospitality and resort standards.

You will set up spaces per BEOs, assist banquet service teams during events, move tables, chairs and equipment, and reset spaces for upcoming bookings. This is a physically demanding, safety-minded, team-oriented role requiring flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Experience in banquet or event setup preferred but not required.
• Physically demanding role with frequent lifting.
• Ability to follow diagrams and instructions.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet spaces according to BEOs (tables, chairs, staging, buffets).
• Monitor cleanliness and organization of event spaces.
• Break down spaces and transport equipment after events.
• Assist banquet service team during events.
• Ensure safe handling of equipment and report issues.
• Coordinate between storage and event locations.
• Maintain inventory integrity and comply with safety standards.
