Job summary

Bohemia Manor Farm in Chesapeake City, MD, hosts high-end events on waterfront grounds and vineyards. The Banquet Houseperson provides behind-the-scenes labor, sets up and breaks down spaces, moves furniture and equipment, and supports the banquet and catering team for each event.

The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to floor plans, and safe, efficient setup under tight timelines, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event calendars.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in banquets, events, hospitality, or a related setup/labor role preferred.
• Ability to follow floor plans and detailed setup instructions accurately.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and break down banquet and event spaces according to floor plans and event orders.
• Transport and arrange furniture, equipment, and event supplies between storage, event spaces, and outdoor venues.
• Assist banquet captains and catering staff with room turns between events.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet spaces, storage areas, and service corridors before, during, and after events.
• Support outdoor vineyard and waterfront event setups, including tenting, seating, and lighting as directed.
• Respond promptly to setup changes or last-minute requests from the catering/events team during live events.
• Assist with loading and unloading vendor deliveries and rental equipment.
• Maintain banquet equipment and report damage or maintenance needs.
• Uphold Vivamee's hospitality and safety standards throughout all event setups.
