Job summary

Bohemia Manor Farm in Chesapeake City, Maryland, seeks a meticulous Banquet Houseperson to support events by setting up and breaking down spaces, moving furniture and equipment, and assisting the banquet and catering team during live events on a waterfront estate.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in banquets, events, hospitality, or related setup/labor preferred.
• Ability to follow floor plans and detailed setup instructions accurately.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently under time pressure, especially during back-to-back events.

Responsibilities

• Set up and break down banquet and event spaces according to floor plans and event orders.
• Transport and arrange furniture, equipment, and event supplies between storage, event spaces, and outdoor venues.
• Assist banquet captains and catering staff with room turns between events.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet spaces, storage areas, and service corridors.
• Support outdoor vineyard and waterfront event setups, including tenting, seating, and lighting as directed.
• Respond promptly to setup changes or last-minute requests from the catering/events team during live events.
• Assist with loading and unloading vendor deliveries and rental equipment.
• Maintain banquet equipment and report damage or maintenance needs.
• Uphold Vivamee's hospitality and safety standards throughout all event setups.
