Job summary

AT&T Hotel & Conference Center on the UT campus is seeking a Banquet House Person to assist with setup and teardown of banquet events, ensuring equipment and tables meet customer contracts. The role requires professionalism and timely communication.

Responsibilities include loading and organizing equipment, maintaining clean banquet spaces, and supporting management as needed in a fast-paced hospitality setting on campus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or the equivalent.
• Applicants must have valid and current authorization to legally work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the setup of tables, chairs and other banquet equipment in accordance with customer contracts.
• Setup meeting and event function with the equipment requirement from review the banquet event order.
• Become familiar with all meeting and event function room set up.
• Learn how all handle equipment as well as utilized all assigned storage areas.
• Assist as needed in the maintaining the physical clean up or breakdown and sanitation of all banquet areas.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and properly stored in the assigned location.
• Ensure event signage is accurate for the appropriate time of day.
• Attend department meetings as scheduled by the department manager.
• Learn the different types and sizes of linen used for the specific tables.
• Each associate is expected to carry out, within his or her capabilities, all reasonable requests by management.
• Maintain a professional demeanor while dealing with challenging situation or a difficult request.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
