Job summary

Starwood Austin is seeking a part-time Banquets Houseperson to support event setup and service for banquet spaces. You will prepare mise-en-place, set tables and stations, and ensure cleanliness and organization to meet event specifications.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Ability to read and understand safety rules and event orders (BEOs).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain guest service standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up banquet spaces: tables, chairs, back-of-house areas, buffets, and stations.
• Communicate guest dietary needs and special requests to the kitchen.
• Serve food and beverages following standard recipes and sequence.
• Replenish beverages and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Clear courses, break down service areas, and reset for events.
• Assist with room turns and event breakdowns, maintaining cleanliness and safety.
• Input guest concerns via KYC and follow up with leadership.
