Job summary

Hilton Garden Inn in Independence, MO is seeking a Banquet Setup/Server to support meetings and events. Responsibilities include setting up rooms, coordinating AV and water items, and delivering exceptional guest service in line with OHM and brand standards.

The role requires the ability to handle multiple tasks, maintain a neat appearance, and work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. A high school diploma or GED is required, with banquet experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of hospitality or banquet experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete work assignments as directed by supervisor or shift leader.
• Ensure water, amenities, AV, and breaks are set up at least 15 minutes before meetings.
• Address guest requests for additional equipment and supplies, informing guests of any extra charges.
• Provide world-class guest service according to OHM and brand standards.
• Set up and clean meeting and function rooms per OHM and brand specifications.
• Refresh meeting rooms during breaks and assist with meal service and breakdown as needed.
• Assist in getting banquet guest checks signed and submitted to the front office.
• Follow energy conservation guidelines and safety procedures.
• Handle all equipment and supplies properly.
• Report to work on time, in uniform, as scheduled.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Embrace company cultures such as O’Reach, Green Team, and Guest Service.
