Job summary

Northwood Hospitality LLC is seeking an On-Call Banquet Houseperson to set up, refresh, and break down banquet and meeting spaces according to BEOs, ensuring a smooth guest experience.

This role requires physical stamina, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced West Hollywood hotel. Candidates should maintain cleanliness, organize equipment, and collaborate with event staff to support successful events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One to two years of hotel, banquet, hospitality, or event set-up experience preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts based on business needs.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and perform frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and other physical activities necessary to set up and break down banquet events.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and team members in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
• Maintain a positive and service-oriented attitude at all times.
• Set up banquet and meeting rooms according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Refresh meeting rooms and banquet spaces throughout events as needed.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of banquet rooms, pre-function areas, storage rooms, and equipment.
• Break down banquet and meeting rooms following events and properly clean, organize, and store all equipment and supplies.
• Transport, arrange, and store tables, chairs, and other banquet equipment.
• Keep banquet storage areas clean, organized, and adequately stocked with supplies.
• Follow all hotel safety, sanitation, and operational standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
