Grand View Lodge in Nisswa, MN is seeking a detail-oriented Banquet Houseperson to assist with setup, execution, and breakdown of banquet and event spaces. The role supports the catering and events team and requires a positive, can-do attitude.

This resort hospitality position is on weekends, holidays, and peak seasons; physical stamina to stand, lift up to 50 lbs, and clear communication are essential. Prior banquet or event support experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Prior banquet, hospitality, or event support experience preferred, but attitude and work ethic matter.
• Strong attention to detail and proactive problem solving.
• Clear, professional communication and a team-oriented approach.
• Ability to manage time across multiple event setups.
• Physical stamina to stand/walk 6–7 hours, lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and break down meeting and event rooms daily according to event specs.
• Inspect function rooms and public areas for guest readiness and cleanliness.
• Ensure audio/visual equipment is in place and working.
• Inventory and maintain banquet equipment; report damages or shortages.
• Assist with serving duties during events as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness across banquet areas throughout shift.
• Support catering and events team with additional tasks.
• Weekend, holiday, and extended hours availability during peak seasons.
