Job summary

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Banquet Setup team member responsible for the setup, refresh, tear down, and maintenance of all meeting space according to Resort standards. You will ensure spaces are arranged per specifications, supporting guests and teams to deliver exceptional events.

The role requires attention to detail, a collaborative attitude, and flexibility to work long hours, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• 1 year of meetings setup experience in hospitality, convention center, or large hotel.
• Must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
• Must be a team player, willing to help others at short notice.
• Must be flexible to work long hours including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Ensure correct and timely setup of all banquet spaces per BEO specifications.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of banquet areas.
• Break down spaces after events and store equipment properly.
• Assist with equipment and supplies handling as directed.
• Support management with event needs as requested.

Banquet Setup

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking aBanquet Setup.In this role, you will be responsible for the setup, refresh, tear down and maintenance of all meeting space according to Resort standards.

As part of our team,you'llembody our Promise toLead with Love-guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences.You'll ensure event spaces are perfectly arranged according to specifications, creating a welcoming and seamless environment for our guests. Your attention to detail and efficiency will directly enhance both guest satisfaction and the overall success of events.

Pay Rate

$14-$16/hour

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the correct and timely setup of all Banquet Event Order (BEO) functions which include meeting rooms, breaks, audio visual and other equipment.
• At all times be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to guests, fellow associates and management.
• Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the banquet function space, pre-function space, and storage areas to include the carpet, floors, walls, walks, doors, windows, heating/air conditioning units, etc.
• Break down banquet space after the completion of functions and ensure that all equipment and supplies are stored properly.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

WhatWe'ReLooking For

• 1 year of meetings setup experience in the hospitality industry in a convention center or large hotel (over 500 room property) is preferred.
• Must be detail oriented, a self-motivator, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must be a team player, willing to help anyone in the immediate area at a minute's notice.
• Must be flexible to work long hours including weekends and holidays.
