Job summary

EAST Miami is seeking a Banquet Houseman to support event execution in a dynamic hotel environment. You will help create exceptional guest memories by preparing spaces, assisting with service, and ensuring all meeting rooms are ready and well-stocked.

Adaptability and a guest-focused attitude are essential as you coordinate with supervisors and teams to deliver seamless banquet experiences. This is a full-time, on-site role at our Miami, FL property.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to lift/carry/push/pull up to 25 pounds without assistance.
• Has or can obtain Food/Alcohol Handler's certification or coursework.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes guests and supports the banquet team to create memorable events.
• Ensures water, amenities, audio-visual equipment, and breaks are ready 15 minutes before meetings.
• Communicates guest needs and charges for additional equipment; notifies supervisor.
• Refreshes meeting rooms during breaks by clearing garbage, restocking supplies, and tidying spaces.
• Assists with meal service and breakdown as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Here's the quick lowdown on what you'll do day-to-day:

• Completes all work assignments and follows all instructions directed by supervisor or shift leader
• Ensures all water, amenities, audio-visual and breaks are in room at least 15 minutes prior to start of meeting
• Complies with all customer needs or additional equipment and supplies and conveys the additional charge to the guest; notifies supervisor to add to the guest check
• Freshens all meeting rooms during meal breaks by replacing ashtrays, changing cloths if necessary, refilling candy jars, replacing water glasses, refilling water pitchers, and removing garbage from meeting areas and break tables
• Assists with meal service and breakdown as needed
