Job summary

Hotel Northland, Autograph Collection in Green Bay is seeking a banquet setup associate to prepare meeting spaces as requested by guests. You will transport and arrange tables, chairs, and equipment, ensuring timely setup and breakdown between events while maintaining a clean environment.

The role involves moving heavy items, standing for long periods, and coordinating with the Banquet Captain to handle additional tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Lift and move tables, chairs, and podiums up to 100 lbs.
• Communicate clearly with guests and supervisors.
• Set up meeting rooms in styles (round, boardroom, U-shape).
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of meeting spaces.

Responsibilities

• Set up all meeting rooms to guest specifications, transporting items from storage to rooms.
• Break down rooms after events and reset for next function.
• Keep meeting rooms and ballrooms clean and presentable throughout shifts.
• Assist supervisor during large functions and take on additional tasks as needed.

What you’ll be doing…

• Set up all meetings' rooms to the specifications of the guest. This involves transporting heavy materials such as staging, tables, chairs, dance floors, etc. from storage area to meeting rooms.
• Responsible for timely and safe breakdown of meeting rooms after event completion. Reset products for the next function.
• Maintain established cleaning schedule of meeting rooms and ballrooms so the rooms stay presentable at all times.
• Ensure cleanliness and organizations done in a timely manner and to assist supervisor during large functions.
• Take on additional tasks as necessary or assigned by Banquet Captain.

You should be able to…

• Communicate with guests, other associates and supervisor.
• Lift and move multiple tables and chairs and podiums weighing up to 100 lbs. through a crowded room with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Knowledge of various types of equipment and set up styles used in meeting rooms. For example: round, boardroom, reception, U-Shape, etc.
• Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise move or push goods on a hand cart/truck weighing a maximum of 500 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time with or without reasonable accommodations
