Job summary

First Hospitality is seeking a Banquet Setup Associate at The Hotel Northland, Autograph Collection in Green Bay, WI. You will prepare meeting spaces, transport decor and equipment, and ensure rooms stay presentable for events.

Role involves lifting up to 100 lbs, working with various room setups (round, boardroom, U-shape), and collaborating with guests and staff to deliver seamless events.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate with guests, associates and supervisor.
• Ability to lift and move tables, chairs and podiums up to 100 lbs.
• Knowledge of different meeting room setups (round, boardroom, U-shape).
• Ability to lift/carry up to 500 lbs with equipment and carts.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and perform duties safely.

Responsibilities

• Set up all meeting rooms to guest specifications, moving materials from storage to rooms.
• Break down rooms after events and reset for the next function in a timely manner.
• Maintain cleaning schedule to keep meeting rooms and ballrooms presentable at all times.
• Ensure organization and cleanliness and assist supervisor during large functions.
• Take on additional duties as assigned by the Banquet Captain.

What you’ll be doing…

• Set up all meetings' rooms to the specifications of the guest. This involves transporting heavy materials such as staging, tables, chairs, dance floors, etc. from storage area to meeting rooms.
• Responsible for timely and safe breakdown of meeting rooms after event completion. Reset products for the next function.
• Maintain established cleaning schedule of meeting rooms and ballrooms so the rooms stay presentable at all times.
• Ensure cleanliness and organizations done in a timely manner and to assist supervisor during large functions.
• Take on additional tasks as necessary or assigned by Banquet Captain.

You should be able to…

• Communicate with guests, other associates and supervisor.
• Lift and move multiple tables and chairs and podiums weighing up to 100 lbs. through a crowded room with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Knowledge of various types of equipment and set up styles used in meeting rooms. For example: round, boardroom, reception, U-Shape, etc.
• Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise move or push goods on a hand cart/truck weighing a maximum of 500 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time with or without reasonable accommodations
