Job summary

The University of Georgia’s Georgia Center is hiring a Restaurant and Banquet Server (Temporary) in the Athens area to deliver food and beverages, set tables, and support event service.

Flexible schedule with weekends/holidays; starting 10/01/2026. Pay is $15 per hour; non-exempt, 1.0 FTE in a temporary capacity. Prior customer service experience preferred and lifting up to 40 pounds is required.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to work compatibly with co-workers and follow instructions accurately.
• Repeatedly lift up to 40 pounds and walk/stand 67-100% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers in the banquet area and our food outlets.
• Set up and break down tables, set and remove dishes, and keep dining areas clean.
• Catering outside functions as needed and provide excellent customer service.
