Job summary

Oak View Group in Sevierville is seeking a Part-time Banquet Server to provide exceptional guest service during events at the Sevierville Convention Center. You will greet guests, take orders, serve food and drinks, and help maintain a clean, organized banquet area.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED (or equivalent), at least one year of events or restaurant experience, and the ability to lift heavy objects and work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED strongly preferred; equivalent experience may be substituted.
• Minimum of one year of work experience in events, banquets, or restaurants preferred.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects often; able to carry at least 8 entrees per tray.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the complete setup and breakdown of the banquet area.
• Relay food and beverage orders.
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness and sanitary practices.
• Anticipate guests’ needs and exceed customer service expectations.
• Maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
• Relay information about orders, allergies, and special requests to the appropriate person.
• Respond urgently and appropriately to any concerns.
• Present in professional appearance and mannerisms.
