Banquet Server Position

Job Overview

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed. Responsible for serving food and beverage with friendly, individualized attention focusing on the company core values. Works as a team to execute events that provide excellent customer service and an amazing guest experience.

Experience

1 year experience as a server is preferred. Must have a flexible schedule and the ability to work evenings, weekends and/or holidays based on business demands. A working knowledge of safe food handling practices and procedures.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintain the highest quality and consistent customer service.
• Follow all company procedures.
• Respond proactively to customer complaints.
• Maintain professionalism and be friendly and approachable toward guests and staff.
• Report directly to the General Manager.
• Prepare tables, lay out napkins and utensils, ensure condiments are refilled, and perform all other preparation tasks.
• Stay updated on current menu choices, specialties, and menu deviations; communicate with kitchen staff to know if any menu selections are unavailable.
• Direct customers to their tables, present menus, suggest dishes, assist in drink selections, inform customers about food preparation details, and communicate specific needs to kitchen staff.
• Provide an excellent dining experience by delivering items, fulfilling customer needs, suggestive selling, removing courses, replenishing utensils, and refilling glasses.
• Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisors.
• Greet all guests warmly with an appropriate greeting.
• Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently.
• Have some familiarity with cooking techniques and convey information to guests accordingly.
• Report safety hazards and employee accidents to the manager on duty; report all safety hazards to the manager on duty.
• Have knowledge of food safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain a sense of urgency when on the service floor.
• Maintain service areas and side works duties for overall productivity.
• Complete all other duties as assigned.

Benefits and Pay

Employees are considered to be full time status if the employee consistently works over 30 hours per work week. Benefits are offered to all full time employees after 60 days of employment, including medical, dental, vision and a free life insurance policy.

This position starts at $18/hr.
