- Welcome and acknowledge each guest with a smile, eye contact, and a friendly greeting, using their name when possible.
- Anticipate guests' needs by asking questions and observing preferences, acting on them whenever possible.
- Thank guests sincerely and provide a warm farewell.
- Respond positively to guest questions, concerns, and requests, using brand or property-specific processes to resolve issues and build trust. Engage guests about their stay, services, and local attractions.
- Maintain quality assurance standards.
- Present accurate checks and process payments, adhering to cash handling and credit policies, including gratuity management.
- Answer menu-related questions and consult kitchen staff for clarification when needed.
- Keep work areas clean throughout the day, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures.
- Communicate special meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and requests to the kitchen.
- Set tables according to event and service standards, ensuring quality of linens, glassware, chinaware, and utensils.
- Follow procedures for serving alcohol responsibly.
- Record transactions promptly at the time of order.
- Follow safety and security policies to maintain a safe environment.
- Complete closing duties, including cleaning, restocking, equipment storage, and securing the premises.
Qualifications
- Adhere to timelines for setup completion.
- Work effectively under pressure.
- Follow instructions accurately, both verbally and in writing.
- Be highly detail-oriented.
- Have at least 1 year of server experience.
- Be flexible to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Be of minimum legal age to serve alcohol.
- Obtain relevant certifications such as food handler or alcohol training, as required.
This position starts at $16.50/hour.
