Job summary

PENN Entertainment in Biloxi, MS is seeking team members to assist with banquet and event functions. You will help set up and break down spaces, deliver friendly guest service, and maintain clean, safe work areas throughout shifts.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, ability to lift 50 lbs, and ServSafe Alcohol certification. A positive, team-oriented attitude is essential for success in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must read and follow instructions and communicate clearly with guests and team members.
• Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group settings.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for a full shift.
• ServSafe Alcohol training certification is required.
• Basic math for handling guest transactions and times is expected.

Responsibilities

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior food handling and or wait experience preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other cast members of the organization.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Must successfully complete ServSafe Alcohol training certification course.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs repeatedly. Must be able to stand for a full shift. Knowledge of basic Food and Beverage wait cast member responsibilities and terminologies. Must have good communication skills.
• While performing the duties of this Job, the cast member is regularly required to stand. The cast member is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The cast member must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
