Job summary

The Clift, Royal Sonesta in San Francisco, CA is seeking a Banquet Server (L2 Union) to join our banquet team. The role contributes to guest satisfaction by delivering courteous service and flawless setups for events in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Under supervision of the Food and Beverage Manager, you will set up stations, maintain equipment, and ensure accurate knowledge of menu and service standards while upholding Sonesta’s hospitality promises.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1–2 years in a public contact position, preferably in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel.
• Enter and locate work related information using computers and/or point of sale systems.
• Possess a gracious, friendly, and fun demeanor.
• Ability to multitask, work in a fast paced environment and have a high level attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Maintain positive and productive working relationships with other employees and departments.
• Ability to work independently and to partner with others to promote an environment of teamwork.

What this role is all about

Under the general guidance of the Food and Beverage Manager, assist in ensuring all duties and responsibilities for the set-up and serving of food and beverages to guests at all banquet functions, according to the hotel standards.

Anticipated Pay Range & Additional Job Information

Hourly rate is from $20.07 to $21.07 follows contract requirements.
