Sonesta International Hotels Corporation is seeking a guest-focused Banquet Server in San Francisco to support set-up and service of food and beverages at banquet events under the guidance of the Food and Beverage Manager.

You will maintain knowledge of F&B offerings, set up stations, ensure timely service, and uphold Sonesta standards. Strong communication in English and a friendly demeanor are essential; prior hospitality experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years in a public contact position, preferably in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel.
• Enter and locate work related information using computers and/or point of sale systems.
• Possess a gracious, friendly, and fun demeanor.
• Ability to multitask, work in a fast paced environment and have a high level attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

What this role is all about Under the general guidance of the Food and Beverage Manager, assist in ensuring all duties and responsibilities for the set-up and serving of food and beverages to guests at all banquet functions, according to the hotel standards.

Duties & Functions

• Maintain up to date and accurate knowledge of all Food and Beverage
• Set up stations and do side jobs to ensure adequate mise-en-place
• Provide a genuine warm and caring service to guests
• Set up events within the required time
• Maintain the Room Service and Events equipment and area in an organized and clean condition at all times
• Maintain good communication with all team members and guests
• Perform all other duties as requested

Specific Job Knowledge & Skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• One to two years in a public contact position, preferably in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel
• Enter and locate work related information using computers and/or point of sale systems
• Possess a gracious, friendly, and fun demeanor
• Ability to multitask, work in a fast paced environment and have a high level attention to detail

Physical Abilities

Anticipated Pay Range & Additional Job Information

Hourly rate is from $20.07 to $21.07 follows contract requirements.
