San Luis Resort, Spa and Conference Center in Galveston, TX is seeking a Banquet Server to deliver and serve food and beverages to banquet guests with timely and friendly service.

The role requires flexible shifts, strong guest service skills, and prior food service experience, preferably in banquets. You will work as part of a team ensuring room setups and service standards meet expectations.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills.
• Appropriate professional appearance and demeanor.
• Must be available for varied shifts including early mornings, late nights, and weekends.
• Understanding of basic room diagrams for station setups.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos.
• Ability to present information to customers and colleagues.
• 1 year prior food service experience required, preferably in Banquets.

Responsibilities

• Assist and prepare in setup of the banquet area prior to guest arrival.
• Maintain timeline of events to ensure seamless service.
• Anticipate guests' service needs and respond accordingly.
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage.
• Follow all state and local laws for serving alcohol responsibly.
• Maintain cleanliness of stations, tables, and tools per guidelines.
