Job summary

Valencia Hotel Group is seeking a motivated Banquet Server for a full-time position at Lone Star Court in Austin, TX. You will engage with guests, serve meals, and help ensure exceptional dining experiences in a fast-paced hotel event setting.

Responsibilities include event setup, service, cleanup, and maintaining safety and cleanliness. Fluency in English and basic writing skills are required; Food Handlers and TABC certificates are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Hotel Operations or Customer Service preferred.
• Excellent oral communication skills required.
• Must speak English fluently and write in basic English.
• Food Handlers Certification and TABC Certificate.
• Positive interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Contribute positively to the team within the department.
• Complete other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
• Ensure all side-work to include filling and stocking salt/pepper shakers is completed.
• Set up for events by putting out tablecloths and place settings, arranging table placement and setting up a buffet.
• Carrying plates of food on trays and serving guests.
• Keep glasses filled; remove each round of plates and replenish utensils.
• Perform cleaning tasks and breakdown of service.
• Maintain table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to patron spills or other special needs.
• Prepare for any/all guest with request.
• Inform of any special request or special instructions to staff.
• Assist with special events as needed.
• Participate in on‑going training.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Comply with Valencia Hotel Group standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
• Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness
• Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by management or supervisors.
• Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently
