Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Banquet Server in Birmingham for part-time events support. You will deliver food and beverage services across a range of functions—from casual buffets to formal plated meals—ensuring a positive guest experience.

Positio n requires availability for varying shifts including some weekends/holidays, prior hospitality experience, and relevant certifications. Compensation reflects a capped range per hour and benefits vary by site.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to serve alcohol per local/state regulations.
• Must maintain a valid alcohol-service certification (TIPS/TEAM or equivalent) and comply with state training requirements.
• Food handler certification may be required based on local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide food and beverage services to guests at catered events, including meetings, receptions, luncheons, dinners and special functions.
• Work under the direction of Banquet Captain and Banquet Supervisor, participating in setup, service execution and breakdown.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, service stations and work areas during events.
• Clear tables, reset place settings, and maintain presentation standards; assist with lifting up to 50 pounds.
