Job summary

Salt Lake Marriott Downtown at City Creek is seeking an attentive Banquet Assistant to help serve guests during events and ensure a positive dining experience. You will set up banquet spaces, greet attendees, serve food and beverages, and maintain service standards throughout functions.

This role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to liquor policies, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced hotel environment. Previous banquet or hotel experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Hotel/food & beverage experience preferred.
• Strong guest service and communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet room with linens, serviceware and glassware.
• Attend roll calls before events to learn function details.
• Greet guests and respond to requests courteously.
• Serve food and beverages per supervisor's standards.
• Replenish beverages and check guest satisfaction during service.
• Reset banquet room per supervisor's specs for next function.
• Follow all laws and company policies on alcohol service.
• Assist with additional duties as needed.
