The Westin Jackson, located in downtown Jackson, MS, is hiring for its Food & Beverage team. Crescent Hotels & Resorts seeks a friendly Banquet Server to help deliver exceptional events and guest experiences in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Set up banquet rooms, greet guests, serve food and beverages, keep serviceware tidy, and reset spaces after events. You will follow state, federal and Crescent standards for alcohol service and collaborate with a professional team to ensure flawless service.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate in English and interact with guests.
• Self-starting with a courteous demeanor.
• Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
• Knowledge of food & beverage service standards and guest etiquette.
• Knowledge of proper table settings and serviceware.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and operate beverage equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet room as instructed by Supervisor, including linen, serviceware and glassware.
• Attend roll call meetings before events to learn function details.
• Greet guests and respond to requests in a friendly, courteous manner.
• Serve food and/or beverages and clear dishes to maintain consistency.
• Abide by all laws and Crescent standards for serving alcohol.
• Replenish beverages and check guest satisfaction.
• Reset banquet room after events per Supervisor’s specifications.
• Maintain regular attendance and be available to work as scheduled.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
