Job summary

Valor Hospitality Partners, LLC is seeking a Banquet Server for the DoubleTree St. Augustine in Florida. You will interact with guests and support catering events, delivering attentive service in a busy hotel banquet setting.

Ideal candidates have at least six months of hotel or convention center banquet experience, are fluent in English, and can lift 20–40 lbs. This full-time position offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Six months hotel or convention center banquet food/beverage services experience.
• Able to read, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Check server’s and house person’s BEOs to ensure information is accurate.
• Review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) at the beginning of each shift to ensure room is set as contracted.
• Know the menu for each function served and be able to explain major ingredients and preparation methods.
• Set tables, glassware, flatware and silverware per dining rules and specification.
• Greet and serve guests following guidelines set by the policies/procedures regarding the service of food and beverage.
• Keep station neat and clean while servicing guests per established policies and procedures.
• Deliver items, fulfill guests' needs, remove courses, replenish utensils, and refill glasses.
• Assist Lead Banquet Server in setting up/breaking down buffet or other tables and equipment.
• Follow guest check and money-handling procedures for a-la-carte and beverage orders.
• Complete assigned side work.
