Job summary

DoubleTree by Hilton Virginia Beach (near Convention Center) seeks a Banquet Server to set up, serve, and break down functions in a safe, guest-focused environment. The position requires the ability to read and speak English and to lift 20–40 lbs.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with at least two years of hotel banquet experience preferred. Responsibilities include setting tables, maintaining clean stations, assisting the Lead Banquet Server, greeting and serving guests,

Qualifications

• Education – High school diploma required or equivalent.
• Experience – Two years hotel banquet food/beverage service.
• Able to read and speak English.
• Able to lift, push, carry 20 - 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set tables in assigned area correctly and uniformly.
• Keep station neat and clean while servicing guest per policies and procedures.
• Use proper in-room clearing and aisle tray break-down buffet or other special food service tables and equipment.
• Greet and serve guests following guidelines set by the policies/procedures regarding the service of food and beverage.
• Complete assigned side work.
