Job summary

Saybrook Point Resort & Marina in Old Saybrook, CT is seeking a part-time Banquet Server to join the wait staff for catering events.

You will greet guests, set up rooms per BEOs, replenish buffet items, assist with service, and coordinate with Banquet Captains to ensure a smooth, high-quality dining experience.

A high school diploma and at least 18 years old are preferred; prior banquet or catering knowledge is a plus. The role may require standing for long periods and working weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Experience in catering or banquet service is a plus.
• Knowledge of food safety and guest service standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with enthusiasm to create a positive experience.
• Review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) at shift start to ensure proper room setup.
• Prepare rooms and tables according to guidelines; set up buffets and service areas.
• Explain menu items and ingredients to guests; maintain service flow during events.
