Job summary
Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City is seeking a friendly Banquet Server to provide prompt, courteous service for events and daily dining. You will replenish buffets, assist servers, set up and break down event spaces, and ensure proper food handling while delivering beverages to guests.
Ideal candidates have prior high-volume restaurant or event-server experience, strong guest service skills, and the ability to communicate in English.
Qualifications
- Prior experience as an event server or high-volume restaurant server.
- Strong guest service skills; ability to converse with guests.
- Positive, personable and outwardly friendly.
- Ability to perform in a busy, high-volume environment.
- Endure physical movements; lifting up to 50 lbs; standing for long periods.
Responsibilities
- Accommodates guests and replenishes buffet items; refills beverages; removes dirty dishes and assists as needed.
- Sets up buffets with presentation standards and safe food handling.
- Completes setup and closing duties in a timely fashion.
- Adheres to food/beverage policies and state liquor laws.
- Relays guest compliments/complaints to supervisor.
- Observes diners and responds to requests as meals progress.
- Sets up/breaks down events with proper handling/storage of china, glassware, linen, and equipment.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
