Job summary

Oak View Group is hiring a Banquet Server to support events at the Atlantic City Convention Center & Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall. You will serve guests in dining areas and catering functions, delivering timely service in a fast-paced environment.

The role offers an hourly rate of $11.00 with tip eligibility per the union agreement. Candidates should have strong English communication, teamwork, and experience in events, banquets, or restaurants.

Qualifications

• Must read and understand Banquet Event Orders.
• Serve meals to guests and replenish buffet lines.
• Serve beverages and verify age for alcohol.
• Able to carry ten meals on a tray.
• Record and relay orders to the kitchen.
• Observe guests and respond to additional requests.
• Perform side work: condiments, napkins, etc.
• Replace tableware and linens as needed.
• Set up banquet functions with décor and dishware.
• Maintain sanitation and safety standards.
• Demonstrate excellent attendance.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret Banquet Event Orders for events.
• Serve meals and keep buffet stocked for guests.
• Serve beverages and check IDs for alcohol.
• Carry multiple meals on a single tray as required.
• Record guest orders and relay to kitchen staff.
• Address guest requests and ensure satisfaction.
• Complete side work and restock supplies as needed.
• Prepare and reset tables with proper linens and ware.
• Set up banquet spaces with décor and tableware.
• Keep areas clean and meet health and safety standards.
• Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Fulfill other duties as directed by supervisor.
