Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality Management is seeking on-call banquet staff to assist with event setup, service, and breakdown at the Kansas City Intercontinental location. You will greet guests, serve food and beverages, and maintain high standards of quality and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities include preparing banquet spaces, attending pre-event briefings, refilling beverages, bussing tables, and ensuring a safe, clean work environment while upholding company policies and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Hold a current Food Handler Card.
• Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
• Knowledge of the appropriate table settings and service ware.
• Basic knowledge of the English language sufficient to understand inquiries from customers and communicate simple instructions.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet room according to Banquet Event Order and instructions.
• Attend stand up meetings before events to learn function particulars.
• Greet guests and respond to requests in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Serve food and/or beverages as directed by Banquet Captain to ensure consistency.
• Bus dishes promptly as guests finish courses; replenish beverages as needed.
• Reset banquet rooms after events and prepare for the next function.
