Banquet Server – Hospitality Role

We are looking for a highly motivated Banquet Server to join our team. You will help set up and prepare banquet rooms for events, serve and bus tables, and clear and tear down banquet rooms at the end of each function.

Responsibilities

• Set up for functions: draping tables, setting silverware, folding napkins, preparing drinks, and placing table centerpieces.
• Service tasks: picking up food from the back hall, carrying trays to the function location, serving food, and clearing food from tables.
• Break down tasks: bussing tables, putting away dirty linen and centerpieces, and vacuuming.
• Maintain cleanliness of the back hall and organize storerooms.
• Set up AM/PM break stations with coffee, tea, snacks, and beverages.
• Assist with event room setup according to meal period and table needs.
• Prepare food & beverage items such as condiments, brewing coffee, and ensuring workstations are stocked.
• Serve food and beverages to guests, remove dishes and other items from tables, and sanitize tables and counters after guests finish.
• Explain menu items, cooking methods, and ingredients; consider special requests and dietary issues.
• Provide general property information and offer a warm welcome/farewell to guests.
• Collaborate with staff professionally and assist other departments as needed.
• Ensure a final quality check on food and beverage items before serving guests.
• Monitor assigned tables for customer satisfaction and address any guest issues promptly.
• Maintain awareness of safety issues such as broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks, and suspicious persons.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of food service experience, preferably in banquet service.
• Experience in a 4‑star or 5‑star venue with synchronized service.
• Knowledge of wine, beer, cocktails, and spirits.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Passion for creating an exceptional guest experience.
• Excellent communication skills.

Compensation

Compensation: $7.25 - $10 per hour.

Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors, including skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location.
