BENCHMARK is seeking a highly motivated Banquet Bartender to enhance guest satisfaction. This role involves setting up and preparing banquet rooms, serving beverages and food in a friendly manner, and maintaining the bar's inventory.

Qualifications

What you will have an opportunity to do

We are looking for a highly motivated Banquet Bartender to join our team. The bartender will help direct the set up and preparation of banquet rooms for banquet functions, serve as the bartender as well as clear and tear down banquet rooms at the end of the function. They will serve beverages and/or food to guests in a friendly, courteous and timely manner, resulting in guest satisfaction. They will also prepare beverages for other servers to supply to guests and act as cashier for the banquet beverage bar.

Your role

• Maintain proper and adequate set‑up of the bar on a daily basis, including requisitioning and stocking of beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments and produce.
• Maintain stock, cutting, and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables daily to ensure product quality.
• Greets guests in a courteous and friendly manner, promotes and documents orders for drinks.
• Mix, garnish and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes and portion control.
• Input orders into a register at the point of sale and create a check for each guest and personnel guests, including those served by other beverage servers, to maintain accountability.
• Receive cash from guests, make change, verify validity of charges, record charges, and insure vouchers are properly executed.
• Locks up and stores all beverages, food and other equipment items, deposits cash drops and secures bank.
• Maintain regular attendance in conformance with the standards set by Benchmark and understand that irregular attendance may lead to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
• Be prepared to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.
