Job summary

Hollywood Casino St. Louis is seeking a Banquet Server to join our team. You will set up buffet lines, assist with beverage service, and deliver exceptional guest experiences during events.

Applicants should be 18+, have banquet or restaurant experience, and be available for holiday scheduling. Strong sanitation knowledge and good English communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Previous banquet and/or restaurant service experience.
• Knowledge of proper restaurant sanitation procedures.
• Outgoing personality with strong work habits.
• Must have open availability to work Holiday Season.
• Must be able to read/write in English and communicate effectively.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, decimals).
• Ability to multitask and remain positive under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Set buffet lines and breaks with proper equipment, supplies, and decor.
• Set tables with silverware, napkins, condiments, and centerpieces.
• Prepare and serve beverages and plated meals.
• Clear used dishes and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
• Anticipate guests’ needs and provide top-tier service throughout the event.
• Coordinate with banquet staff to ensure smooth event flow.
• Adhere to policies and maintain professional conduct at all times.

As a Banquet Server, you will: Pay: $7.50 per hour + tips (Tip Avg. $22 to $24 per hour) | Shift: Varies

• Sets buffet lines and breaks with proper equipment, supplies, and decor.
• Sets tables with proper silverware, napkins, condiments, centerpieces, etc.
• Prepares and sets/serves beverages.
• Serves plated meals to guests.
• Removes used plates, glassware, silverware, etc., from assigned areas.
• Anticipates and provides for guests’ needs throughout entire function.
• Provides optimal guest service to all guests and responds efficiently to guest concerns.
• Maintains a clean and organized workspace to ensure timely break down of banquet events.
• Ensures that future events are set up for success.
• Polishes plates, silverware, and glassware.
• Responsible for sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash removal, etc.
• Coordinates with Banquet staff and other restaurant personnel to provide excellent guest service.
• Various other duties may be assigned.
• Adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies in an ethical manner.

• Ability to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations.
• Able to work independently with little or no direct supervision.
• Able to multi-task efficiently.
• Physically mobile with ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 30 lbs., and the ability to reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel, and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas.
