Job summary

Hollywood Casino St. Louis is hiring a Banquet Server to provide attentive guest service during events and banquets. You will set buffet lines, serve beverages and plated meals, and coordinate with banquet staff to ensure a seamless guest experience.

Starting pay is up to $24.00 per hour, with an average tips environment highlighted by a 7.50 base hourly rate plus tips; applicants should be 18+, have banquet/restaurant experience, and be available to work during the holiday season.

Qualifications

• Applicant must be at least 18 years of age.
• Previous Banquet and/or restaurant service experience.
• Knowledge of proper restaurant sanitation procedures.
• Open availability to work Holiday Season (December 1st through December 23rd).
• Must be able to read and write in English and have good verbal communication skills.
• Basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, etc.
• Ability to multi-task efficiently.
• Physically able to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to respond to visual and aural cues.

Responsibilities

• Sets buffet lines and breaks with proper equipment, supplies, and decor.
• Sets tables with proper silverware, napkins, condiments, centerpieces, etc.
• Prepares and serves beverages.
• Serves plated meals to guests.
• Maintains a clean and organized workspace and supports event breakdown.
• Coordinates with Banquet staff to provide excellent guest service.

As a Banquet Server, you will:

Pay: $7.50 per hour + tips (Tip Avg. $22 to $24 per hour)| Shift: Varies

• Sets buffet lines and breaks with proper equipment, supplies, and decor.
• Sets tables with proper silverware, napkins, condiments, centerpieces, etc.
• Prepares and sets/serves beverages.
• Serves plated meals to guests.
• Removes used plates, glassware, silverware, etc., from assigned areas.
• Anticipates and provides for guests’ needs throughout entire function.
• Provides optimal guest service to all guests and responds efficiently to guest concerns.
• Maintains a clean and organized workspace to ensure timely break down of banquet events.
• Ensures that future events are set up for success.
• Polishes plates, silverware, and glassware.
• Responsible for sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash removal, etc.
• Coordinates with Banquet staff and other restaurant personnel to provide excellent guest service.
• Various other duties may be assigned.
• Adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies in an ethical manner.
